Recognising perspectives

The two different perspective websites to look at are 1. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/australian-selector-waugh-defends-test-team-culture-20180403-p4z7ja.html and 2. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/former-coach-slams-cricket-australia-over-culture-20180329-p4z6xm.html

The first website talks about how Mark Waugh believes that there is nothing different from that cricket team than the others that that people have to forgive them and its nothing to hold a grudge over. He thinks that it is not as big as a deal and some people are making it out to be, rather just a mistake. The second article, however, says how a former coach, Mickey Arthur, has slammed the team for what they have done and that they should feel shame for the scandal. He shows to have a rather negative view on the subject.

The two articles are very different and show the different perspectives of one being positive and one being negative. They both express unique ideas on how to think and feel about the subject and without reading both of them, you would be unable to see the drastically different sides of it. It is okay to only look at one of the perspectives to try and gain as much detail about that side as possible but it is very important to look at both sides so that you do not have any bias views.

Organic food blog refined

In the topic of organic food, I have developed an interest in animal farming and the animal rights issue. I will be refining my question so that it can focus on this area more specifically. My question will be refined to ‘What are the benefits of organic animal farming ‘ so that I can focus on the pros and also look at the cons of animal farming and why farmers chose either option of organic or not. I decided to choose this as when looking through the articles on nutrition and organic foods, I found more interest in animals and how they are treated in farming, instead of focusing on fruit and veg.

What is worth researching

There are many things that are worth researching. I believe that it is worth researching if it will create new and effective knowledge that will impact you and others. Researching is also important if it provokes change and helps on issues that need fixing. For example, climate change would be worth researching as you could look into the causes of it and how to prevent it. Although if someone were to research it and not make huge changes in there life to stop it or raise awareness for the world to stop it, it will affect them in a way that helps them to see what in life contributes to climate change and will have them think twice about doing things that will contribute to it. This can happen in many instances in having an effect on the person to make small changes from there awareness. Therefore I believe that something is worth researching if it has positive impacts and raises awareness to an individual.

different types of research

There are a variety of methods for conducting research as there are multiple different things that can be researched and with those, there are methods of research that will give the best results for it. Multiple different ways of research include using the internet, books, asking experts, conducting surveys, conducting practices or experiments and observations. If researching something to do with human behaviour, an affected way to research would be doing experiments on random selections of people and observing the outcomes that they have. If looking into research on the history and things that have happened to human behaviours in the past in world events, looking on the internet and into books would be more effective. The different ways of research give a better variety of sources of getting information that can make the results much more reliable as there a multiple things that can back up your research information.

CONNECT- explain how you feel connected to something in this article

In this article, I feel connected to the idea of challenging your own thoughts and ideas. I believe too that it is important to accept that you need to keep your mind open to being wrong in some situations and challenge yourself to see other peoples views on topics, engaging in opposing views, rather than seeing what you think you know about their ideas.

NOTICE – explain something you notice in this article

In this article, I noticed that the writer uses multiple examples of occurrences that have happened to him and many observations that he has made to justify his points he makes. He also brings up ideas on why certain things have happened and are happening to show that the problem itself has the possibility of change.
